President's Message

CURRENT ACTIVITY NOTES:  Between the new Interact club, that Visioning thing, the great things happening in Argentina, the trail clean up and all of our new members it has been very busy here at the LMERC.  It's hard to believe that I am almost halfway through my Presidency...it does go fast.  Jerry Greene is teed up and ready to take over in July.  We are working on the Board now and getting ready for the vote.

ONGOING:

ROTARY FOUNDATION. If you would like to donate to the Rotary International Foundation, you can send a check to Rotary International to our club (POBox 368, Excelsior 55331) or request Bill Carlson to charge your quarterly billing for any amount -one time or every quarter. You can also go on-line to RI and donate through their site.

STUDENT EXCHANGE: Our exchange student for this year is from Japan.  As you may know we are desperatly looking for a home for him.  He is a great kid, and would bring a great added dimension to any family 

LMERC BOARD: Your Rotary board is working hard to make sure this Rotary year will be as successful as last year.

Remember: "Think Membership". We have made it easy to invite a guest to one of our meetings. Just give a prospective member the small membership information card available at each meeting.
Guests are welcome to come to any meeting without advance notice and identify themselves as your guest--there is no charge to attend.

The membership information card includes basic information about our club and Rotary.

If you have information that you would like to share with the club (and the Internet world), please get the information to Austin R. Kraft by 8:00 pm Monday for inclusion in that week's Wednesday update and printing. Contact Austin by e-mail (akraft@kraftmed.com) or phone at 612-867-0154. Our website and newsletter are only as good as the content provided by all members...so please contribute.
